Beautiful Chairs, Poor Constuction

The chairs are beautiful, but the construction is not so much. We had to have both chairs replaced -- one because the foot would not install properly because they gathered the leather too thickly where the foot goes. The second because of a gauge on the armrest. Hayneedle was GREAT about resolving the issue. The second set came -- and guess what, another foot would not attach. My husband had to cutoff a piece of leather and roping on the bottom to get the foot to fit. And the other chair had another scuff. But we are keeping them. They are not the highest quality, but we didn't pay the highest price either. The leather is thin, so any scuff/scratch can easily penetrate to the fabric underneath.
The seating is high and firm...you don't sink into the chair or even sit deeply. It is very comfortable for reclining with the ottoman! Love the extra storage in the ottoman. Good value for the price. Just check over your chairs carefully after you've gotten them unpacked and the feet on.

I was terribly disappointed when the product arrived. The ottoman was not a storage ottoman and the chair was very cheaply made and didn't come with the correct assembly components (which was only to install the legs).
Called Hayneedle and was pleasantly surprised. They made sure I was pleased by the end of my transaction, which I was and which is NOT an easy thing to do...I'm hard to please!

I can NOT Belive they are selling this item. I should have listened to the reviews. DO NOT buy this, if you do you will think about this review later and nod your head in agreement.
1) it is SUPER firm. (way to firm)- you sit really high in it.
2) the ottoman they sent me does NOT open up for storage.
3) The leather is cheap feels like plastic.
4) The chair is very cheeply made (as evidenced by there not even being a seat cushon (it is built into the the chair with cardboard siding).
Worst ever! DO NOT DO IT! I actually threw it out :<

Did not come with the proper pieces; chair measure shorter than the dimensions provided; "storage" ottoman does not open. The last time I ordered from Hayneedle, I got the same type of product...they are OFF MY LIST of online stores.
The only positive thing I can say is that the delivery company was excellent.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my chair and ottoman. I did not expect much ordering a "leather" chair online for such a low price. But I took the chance because I have ordered previously from Hayneedle and was pleased. I'm glad I did. The chair is a beautiful deep chocolate and very firm which is my preference. It looks lovely in the room. If you need a leather armchair and ottoman, take the plunge. You will not be sorry.

The custsomer service can't be beat ! My first club chair had a small scratch on the arm, so I called to ask what are my options. I was told that a new chair would be sent to me, but because it would be an inconvenience to me to return the defective chair, that I should just donate it to a local charity ! One week later I had a new, scratch-free chair !! Love the chair...love the service. I will recocommend Hayneedle to all my friends, and I will definately shop with them again !!
