Many thanks for the previous reviews! As mentioned, I would say the color is better described as lichen green then the beige it appears online. That said, we knew to expect that (and our walls are green) so the color worked for us. Also as noted, the seat cushion feels like a very firm piece of foam, not a spring-cushion like you wouldgrind in a high-end piece of furniture. (You can Also feel the wood framing in the arm framing.) This is probably why we can snag such a nice looking side chair for under $300! I find the fabric to be nice and soft -- I think the "not soft" review was probably referring to solidness of the seat cushion. We put a big pillow in the back and are very happy with this. I also really like the size. We have a small space and this looks lilarge substantial chair without a large chair footprint. Overall, I'd rate this as a very good value.... Looks good, at a great price, with the tradeoff being that it is not super comfy.

We are happy with it because it's just a chair for our bedroom to throw pillows on instead of the floor and to fill an empty corner. It's a bit smaller than I would have hoped, but I didn't bother to consider the dimensions before ordering. It's also darker than it appears on my computer (more of a brown than a beige), but it still works fine in this room. It's not exactly built for comfort, meaning you don't sink down into it and never want to move, but we don't plan to sit in it much anyway, and for the price I wouldn't have expected anything different (it feels rather stiff/rigid). For our purposes it's a great value and it is nice to look at, if not lounge around in. Oh, and from a visual perspective, I would have preferred that the ottoman extend to the same width as the chair. Instead it is the width of the middle portion of the chair, not including the arms.

I was reluctant to purchase this chair/ottoman set based on the price. My thinking was "if the set is so inexpensive, it can't possibly be that great." I waited until a review was posted (the very first review) and against my better judgment, I purchased this chair/ottoman set. I have been extremely pleased with past purchases from Hayneedle but this is by far the worst purchase I have ever made. I decided to write a review when I read the second posted review. The description lists beige but the set has a greenish tint. The wood frame can be felt through the fabric. No softness whatsoever and absolutely zilch for back support when you sit in the chair. My advice: it's worth it to pay extra for a quality product.

This is a lovely chair and ottoman. I ordered two of these chairs, and they were received in a very timely manner. I needed them quickly due to a fire in my home, and we are trying to replace lost items. I have ordered many other things and have always been pleased. When I do need to speak to a customer service person, they are always professional and very helpful, and available. Thanks
